For one ABQ company, it’s going to get ugly

Mechanical Control Solutions, a residential heating and cooling systems company, is sponsoring a search for the ugliest cooling system in the Albuquerque area.

Whoever has the the oldest, ugliest air conditioner or evaporative cooler in the Albuquerque Metro and will receive a replacement system as part of the company’s effort to highlight the potential for energy savings from new, high efficiency cooling equipment, according to a news release.

“At MCS, our goal is simple. Make our customers happy! The best way to highlight this is to give away a new system and draw attention to the money they save by upgrading an old home cooling system.” Sandy Adams, MCS Residential Division Manager, said. “ There are some very old, ugly air conditioners and swamp coolers around town and homeowners are wasting money every day. We want to prevent that.”

Albuquerque metro homeowners should enter this contest by simply snapping a photo of the old and ugly swamp cooler or air conditioner. To register, click here and submit the information with photo. Entries can be submitted from April 1 to May 31. The winner will be announced in early June.
